4 answers Auckland 2 Votes Sorry for the delay in replying. I think there are only 4 or 5 cabins per carriage in Platinum, and only a couple of carriages at most to walk through to dining room. The furthest Platinum carriage which we were in also had a sitting area, with TV etc. and each carriage has refreshments, coffee machine, snacks.

The dining car. The food on the Indian Pacific is exceptional, and we found it hard to fault any of the courses we had across the four days onboard.
